These are assembled on the blinding, wired together, and lined up. Placing approximately 200 mm of backfill against the Pecaform stabilises the material prior to the concrete pour. Backfilling should continue together with the concrete pour to counteract the increasing pressure on the Pecaform as the level of the concrete pour rises. Backfilling is required up to within 150 mm from the top of the beams and footings to avoid contamination. Spacing timbers are recommended to maintain the beam width, but once the pour reaches the top of the Pecaform these should be removed to allow vibrating and surface finishing of the concrete. Construction Joints Pecaform is a suitable material for construction joints. Depending on the depth of concrete to be retained, support methods may vary. Massive foundations such as those used for high-rise buildings have many construction joints. Pecaform provides a tear-proof form-working membrane which allows starter bars to be fixed in position without drilling. The timber joist bracing for the Pecaform will also act as a support for the reinforcement. Backfill Pecaform L-Shapes Supply Standard stocked material is grade VR6 (5.5 mm diameter high tensile wire of 485N/mm² capacity at 150 centres) with an overall weight of 2.64 kg/m²), Sheets are available in the following sizes: 600 mm X 2250 mm (made to order) 900 mm X 2250 mm (stocked item) 1200 mm X 2250 mm (made to order) 1500 mm X 2250 mm (made to order) 1875 mm X 2250 mm (made to order) Other heavier gauge Pecaform is available upon order –VR8 & VR10. All material comes in non galvanized but galvanized wire is also available upon order.
