After tooling, immediately remove any masking tape while the Lexel is still wet. Allow Lexel to dry for 2 - 4 days. Painting Allow the Lexel to dry undisturbed for 24 - 48 hours before painting with water based acrylic paints. Lexel must be allowed to dry for 30 days before applying solvent based or oil based paints in order to prevent the paint surface from remaining tacky. Repair Lexel bonds very well to itself to provide a seamless join between the new and old sealant, however care should be taken to ensure that the other surfaces to which Lexel will be applied are suitably prepared. Cleaning Clean tools immediately after use with Solvent 10. Limitations Vertical bead size should not exceed 12 mm diameter, horizontal beads should not be larger than 19 mm. Caution should be taken when applying Lexel to hot surfaces as the heat of the surface may cause the solvents contained in Lexel to evaporate rapidly leading to the formation of bubbles in the sealant. Lexel is not suitable for use in applications involving continuous water immersion such as aquariums or swimming pools. Lexel contains organic solvents which will attack some plastics. Do not use Lexel on polystyrene foam. Shelf life 12 months when stored in a cool dry location.
