It will significantly reduce surface defects including blowholes in concrete finish and ensures easy demoulding to architectural quality standards. Advantages „ Preco Bondbreaker is non-staining, protects moulds from „ Preco Bondbreaker can be used with most types of moulds* Description A specially formulated mould release agent designed to eliminate surface defects and ensure clean architectural quality lift-off in prefabricated or “tilt-up” panel construction applications. Preco Bondbreaker can be supplied with a fugitive dye to assist application control. Technical Support Parchem offers a technical support package to specifiers, end-users and contractors, as well as on-site technical assistance. Properties Appearance: Viscous opaque liquid Coverage: 5 - 10 m² per litre Solids: 10% Solvents: High boiling point Flash point: Above 65ºC Solubility in water: Insoluble Drying time: 2 – 4 hours Application Instructions Application Roller, brush, spray. Mix well before use. Preco Bondbreaker can be applied by spray, brush or roller at the rate of 1 litre per 5 to 10 square metres. Application rates will vary depending on climatic conditions and differing absorbency levels. Step 1 – seal new and existing concrete ground slab “working bases” with a generous coat of Preco Bondbreaker. A second coat may be necessary to ensure uniformly low porosity. Coat any dry spots to ensure uniformity. Note: because concrete strengths and porosities vary, it is INDEX 302 Technical Data Sheet corrosion and water damage hydrocarbons critically important that this step is completed with great care to ensure the proper performance of Preco Bondbreaker. Step 2 – apply a uniform coating of Preco Bondbreaker to both horizontal and vertical surfaces and allow to dry a minimum of 2 hours before placement of reinforcing bars. Before pouring concrete check for any “dry” areas and reapply if necessary. If in doubt use the water droplet test method and reapply where necessary. Avoid “ponding” and ensure puddles are mopped up prior to pouring concrete to avoid interference with surface quality. Excess Preco Bondbreaker may cause “honeycomb” surface laitance due to an excess of surface lime being consumed. It is recommended that concrete be poured within 24 hours of the application of Preco Bondbreaker being applied. If subjected to heavy rain, a fresh application on Preco Bondbreaker must be applied. Note: For multi-panel stack applications it is essential that each panel is cured prior to repeating Step 2. A suitable curing compound for this application is Concure A99 applied at an application rate of 5m²/litre. Cleaning Diesel Limitations *Preco Bondbreaker is not to be used with polystyrene moulds or plastic infills. Supply 200 litre steel drum, 20 litre pail 177025 Preco Bondbreaker 20L 177027 Preco Bondbreaker 200L Storage Protect from extremes of temperature. Store below 30ºC and above 5ºC.
