Grants included capital and revenue components, which are detailed in the following notes: (i) Community Service Obligations (CSO) The State Government contributed $9 557 000 (2011: $9 557 000) towards the cost of providing Community Services. This contribution was included in the financial statements as revenue. In 2011/12, these services, which include provision of recreation facilities, education and advisory services, government liaison and regulatory services, community fire protection and research cost Forests NSW $9 401 646 (2011: $9 367 485). These costs are included in operating expenditure in Note 5. Any unspent CSO grants are carried forward to the next financial year (ii) Other Government Grants The State Government also paid Forests NSW $368 128 (2011: $2 164 609) for the performance of specific services including tasks associated with the Interim Assessment Process and related Comprehensive Resource Assessments.
