3 4 Horseland CCI2* The win in the 2* could not have gone to a nicer guy – Will Enzinger riding Georgia Connelly’s warmblood Flowervale Maserati. “It’s been a long time coming,” said an emotional Georgia. “Will’s done a fantastic job and I’m so happy for them both.” Will was lying third after dressage but a clear round on Saturday saw him move up into second place behind Shane. “He jumped really well out there,” said Will after finishing his cross country round. In overall second place was Natalie Siankoski riding Smart Show Off. The pair pulled up from 18th after dressage adding nothing to their dressage score of 53.1, one of only two riders to achieve that feat, the other being fourth placed Jamie Stichel riding Image Blue Ice. Kirsty Douglas riding Cushavon Crackerjack finished third adding no jumping penalties and only 5.2 cross country time penalties to her dressage score of 50.7 2012 Be the Influence Equestrian Grand Final New South Wales riders shone at the 2012 ‘Be the Influence’ Equestrian Grand Final taking home the exhibition eventing and dressage titles for the second year running. The three day, multi-discipline equestrian event was held at EQUITANA Melbourne and gathered Australia’s most prominent horse and rider combinations in the Olympic disciplines of dressage, jumping and exhibition eventing. Olympian Shane Rose kept his undefeated exhibition eventing record intact when he triumphed over a world class field which included fellow New South Wales riders Olympic gold medallist Stuart Tinney and 2010 Badminton Champion Paul Tapner. Rose was sitting in fifth position after the dressage phase but clinched victory from hometown rider Seumas Marwood when he produced a faultless jumping round and successfully cleared the joker fence to have four penalties wiped from his score.
