1 2 3 Vaulting - Kerrie Stapleton Kerrie has been involved with vaulting since 2003 and currently holds several roles within the vaulting fraternity. As coach and secretary for HVC and a committee member at SVG, Kerrie works tirelessly encouraging all clubs to integrate and participate in NSW activities, enabling our vaulters access to the best opportunities available. Kerrie is the present secretary of Vaulting NSW and has been a diligent worker on the NSW committee for several years. She has been the sponsorship team coordinator for CVI 2011 and 2013 as well as part of the marketing team for the 2011 CVI. Kerrie’s ambition is to see the sport grow into a more recognised and sustainable movement within EA and to see our next generation evolve into community minded individuals who are good role models and mentors for their colleagues and future generations of vaulters. Jumping - Peter Dingwall Peter is the on-going Club President of ACT showjumping Club and the Head Official for Showjumping at Canberra Royal Show. In both these roles Peter organises most of the logistics and resources for the event and officials working to ‘crazy o’clock’ to get things done. Peter is a huge supporter of local events – he will tow and drop off trailers of equipment to regional shows, pony clubs, eventing competitions. Peter regularly offers support and advice to event organisers and tries to attend most events in the area - clocking up many kilometres. He always encourages riders and always tries to accommodate the request of competitors. Above all Peter is a tireless worker and loves to be involved, loves a meeting, loves the sport and loves to see all levels of competitors out there having a go! Dressage - Julienne Scott Julienne is a foundation member of the Tamworth Dressage Club which was first formed in 1981 with Julienne being the first inducted Treasurer. Julienne has held the position of Treasurer of the club for this entire period (31 years) except for an interim period in which she held the position of President. Julienne has been a successful competitor, educating and riding many horses over this time. She has been associated with the successful running of numerous events run by Tamworth Dressage Club, this also includes the staging of three State Dressage Championships. Her foresight and ability to direct the club financially has seen Tamworth and surrounding areas benefit greatly from her dedication, knowledge and true love of sport. Eventing - Vicki Burgess Vicki Burgess was employed as a part-time Secretary for NSW Horse Trial Council (now Eventing NSW) in 2002. In this role she quickly developed the skills and knowledge to become the administrative heartbeat of Eventing in NSW and indeed Australia. Her understanding of the FEI and National Rules, combined with her rider-friendly determination to help riders has attracted many across the country to join Eventing NSW. Her patience and resilience has become legendary. It is common for her to work 12 or 14 hour days, and be available seven days a week for calls. Her assistance to riders is matched only by her support to clubs and event organising committees. Vicki not only makes a huge contribution to Eventing in NSW. She continues to be the backbone of the NSW Interschool Championship. Her national contribution is also central to the sport – she has, for example, recently totally re-written the National Rules for Eventing (in accordance with the revamp of the FEI Rules) – contributing a couple of hundred hours of her own time – and helping draw up the National Pathway for Eventing Officials for the National Eventing Committee. She has made huge contributions to the EA National Eventing Database, and has helped make it an invaluable part of our national qualification system. She played a major part in the management of the Equine Influenza outbreak in NSW. In short, her contribution to the sport has been far above and beyond the small number of hours that she is paid for in her part-time job as Eventing NSW Secretary. 1) Hannah Dodd - London Paralympian 2) Julienne Scott, Gow Gates Service to Dressage with Will Macarthur of Gow Gates 3) Kerrie Stapleton, Gow Gates Service to Vaulting Images by SWD Images 126
