Gate takings overall were a little below last year but considering last year was a record year and the weather the results were quite good. Holding the Grand Prix on Thursday (normally on Friday) meant a swing in number for Thursday and Friday. Over both days however the numbers were up. A capacity standing-room-only crowd attended the Saturday evening programme. The Saturday evening dinner was also another sell out (220) with the sold out sign going up on early in February. The trade village was booked out six weeks before the event with several companies turned away. The event has become well known as having a fabulous array of quality merchandise and equestrian related products on offer.
