4 5 Qurindi - July The name mentioned more than any other at Quirindi’s prize giving was Christine Bates as this popular event rider took out a hat trick of wins on various horses. But without a ride in the CNC2* Christine could not add that class to her list of victories and so it was left to Tim Boland and GV Billy Elliot to finish at the top of the leader board. Lying third after dressage Tim moved into the lead thanks to a clear show jumping round and just 7.6 time penalties from cross country. Tim actually finished on the same score as second placed 6 Christopher Burton and Haruzac but managed to come a fraction closer to the optimum time cross country which gave him the winner’s ribbon. In the CNC*Christine Bates and Adelaide Hill clocked The Introductory A section was a closely fought class up their second successive victory at this level. With between the eventual winners, Abbey Wicks riding an impressive dressage score of 40.9 the pair put up Willowcroft Regal Ensign, and second placed Linden a near foot perfect performance by going clear show Milham with Kamikaze Kaiza.
