However, the most unforgettable moment was the Prayer Vigil with the Holy Father where we were tested in our faith to stand firm. As we prepared to begin our vigil with Pope Benedict XVI, a storm came through the airfield bringing with it lightning, thunder and rain. People began to scurry away and look for cover. Some staff were franticly deciding whether to stay and wait it out or leave and try and return in the morning. Our Holy Father asked us to pray and be firm in the faith. Despite the furious wind and rain every Aloysian and then other pilgrims around us began to kneel in silent prayer during the adoration.
