Emer-Proof Under Tile offers excellent adhesion properties over primed building substrates including Scyon sheeting, CFC, wet area timber, ceramic tile, metals, plastics, concrete, masonry, renders, cement sheeting, wet area sheet surfaces and plaster board surfaces (once correctly primed and prepared). It possesses excellent low water vapour transmission properties and fully compatible with polymer modified cement based tiles adhesives, screeds and renders. Emer-Proof Under Tile is ideally suited as a general purpose under tile wet area membrane. Technical Support Parchem offers a comprehensive range of high performance, high quality waterproofing and construction products. In addition, Parchem offers a technical support package to specifiers, contractors and end-users, as well as on-site technical assistance. Properties Data quoted is typical for this product, but does not constitute a specification. Wet Form Specific gravity of mixed product: 1.27kg/litre Solids content: >73% Appearance: High viscous Colour: Light Grey Cured membrane Elongation: >383% Tensile Strength: >1.3MPa Adhesion to concrete (primed): >1.76MPa Water vapour transmission: 1.13g/24h/m² Shore A hardness: 68 Coverage A minimum of 2 coats is recommended to be applied. For optimum performance a minimum ‘total’ coverage of 1.5 litres/m² is recommended. The coverage figures are theoretical – due to wastage factors and the variety and nature of possible substrates, practical coverage figures may be substantially reduced. Approximate total coverage: 1.5L/m² Wet Film Thickness = 1.5mm Dry Film Thickness = 1.1mm Specification Clause Where so designated on the drawings, surfaces shall have a liquid applied, flexible waterproofing membrane which is based on a SBR hybrid polyurethane compound. The membrane shall be Emer-Proof Under Tile. Areas shall be prepared and the membrane applied in accordance with the current Emer-Proof Under Tile Technical Data Sheet. Design Criteria Emer-Proof Under Tile is designed to be applied by thick brush or roller. Emer-Proof Under Tile should be applied as two (2) coats with a minimum WFT of 1.5mm (coverage of 1.5 litres/m²) resulting in a minimum DFT of 1.1mm. May 2014
