For conventional mesh or steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs Armourmate can be designed to incorporate any dowel system, including high performance Diamond Dowels. University testing shows that Diamond Dowel outperforms all comparative traditional forms of dowels in load transfer whilst offering lateral joint movement. Diamond Dowel offers specifiers a dowel system that can be designed into joints in both directions without fear of joint lock up. When using Armourmate for conventional or steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs Specifiers and Contractors can also request the Armourmate to suit either a construction joint detail or a contraction joint detail. Armourmate is the only prefabricated system currently available offering the simultaneous installation of joints within the pour and around the perimeter.
