Cut end off cartridge seal, fit nozzle and cut to desired size and angle, then fit into gun. Hold nozzle against joint or seam and gun Gap Filler firmly onto surface with sufficient pressure to give adequate contact with the surface. Use even pressure on the trigger to give a smooth, even extrusion. Tooling Gap Filler skins quickly, so tooling off surface should be done immediately after application. Use any smooth tool – metal, plastic, wood, etc – with sufficient pressure to ensure that Gap Filler firmly contacts all bonding surfaces. Good tooling helps give surface contact and also provides the required surface finish. Clean up Clean soiled equipment, hands etc immediately after use with clean or soapy water. Painting or wallpapering Where necessary Gap Filler can be painted or papered, allow at least one hour after finishing, with overnight drying times recommended to allow for any drying shrinkage. For painting, use any conventional emulsion paint. Oil paints may also be used, provided the sealant has been fully cured. Note that paint or paper should not be applied over moving joints, as they will restrict movement with possible damage to the paint, paper or sealant.
