Due to its totally unique formulation and blend of bitumen resins and hydrocarbons, Concure B90 not only cures concrete but it also acts as a primer coat for asphalt and bitumen overlays. It is ideally suitable for bridge decks and road construction where a concrete curing compound and bitumen primer can be applied in one application. Advantages „ Ideal primer coat for asphalt or bitumen overlays on concrete roads, bridges or parking decks „ Compatible with many specific after trades „ Complies with Australian Standards AS3799 „ Achieves water retention of 99% „ Contains no wax „ Reduces plastic shrinkage „ Eliminates the need for curing by ponded water, damp hession or polythene sheeting „ Cationic emulsion „ Totally waterbased with no solvent odour „ Clean equipment in water Description Concure B90 is a blend of bitumen and hydrocarbon resins emulsified in water. The impervious film formed by Concure B90 prevents excessive water evaporation, promotes efficient cement hydration, minimises shrinkage whilst increasing durability of the concrete. Properties Data quoted typical for this product, but does not constitute a specification. Appearance: Black bituminous liquid Volume solids: 49% ± 1% Viscosity: 0.22 Pascal seconds Flashpoint: 84°C Drying time Tack Free: 1 - 3 hours Hard Dry: 4 - 8 hours Trafficable: 24 hours Solubility in Water: Soluble Application Temperature: 10°C - 35°C Surface Application Apply Concure B90 to the concrete as soon as the bleed water has gone and the new concrete has hardened sufficiently so as not to be marked by the application process. Apply Concure B90 undiluted at a rate of 1 litre per 5m²/L. Best applied by spray, however, may also be applied by brush, roller or broom. If the concrete surface is required to be trafficable prior to having an overlay placed then sand or fine stone can be placed over the Concure B90 to increase the abrasion resistance of the coating. Cleaning Concure B90 should be removed from tools and equipment with water. Limitations Concure B90 is NOT a “tack coat”. Where required a “tack coat” should still be applied. Estimating Supply 900800 200 litre drum 900805 1000 litre Coverage 5m²/litre Shelf Life Concure B90 has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry store in the original, unopened packs. Storage Conditions Store in cool, dry conditions, away from sources of heat and naked flames, in the original, unopened packs. If stored at high temperatures and/or high humidity conditions the shelf life may be reduced. March 2010
