Advantages „ Water retention efficiency of 90%. Complies to AS3799- 1998 „ Water based and environmentally friendly „ Eliminates the need for damp hessian, sand or polythene sheeting „ Rapid film formation „ Will not yellow in sunlight „ Economical „ Seals concrete surfaces „ Takes most after trades Description Concure A99 is a liquid acrylic emulsion membrane curing compound, which when applied to fresh concrete dries to a transparent film of high water retention enabling curing of the concrete by reducing loss of water from the concrete. Design Criteria Concure A99 may be applied to the substrate at various coverage rates to achieve the desired water retention efficiency, however AS3799 requires materials to be applied in a single coat application at a coverage rate of 5 m²/litre. Application rate No. of coats Efficiency (AS3799) 5 m²/litre 1 90% Test certificates are available on request. Technical Support Parchem offers a comprehensive range of high performance, high quality repair, maintenance and construction products. In addition, the company offers a technical support package to specifiers, end-users and contractors, as well as on-site technical assistance. Properties Data quoted typical for this product, but does not constitute a specification. Volume solids: 40% ± 1% Viscosity: 20-22 seconds (ford #4) Drying time: 1 - 3 hours tack free 24 hours trafficable Application 10°C - 35°C temperature: Specification Clauses Water based, acrylic concrete curing compound Provide a water based, acrylic emulsion concrete curing compound to all newly placed designated concrete surface areas. The acrylic curing compound must achieve the following criteria: Conform with: AS3799-1998 Water retention efficiency: 90% minimum Volume solids content: 40% ± 1% Concure A99 supplied by Parchem Construction Products meets the above performance criteria. Application is in accordance with the manufacturers instructions. Application Instructions Stir contents thoroughly before using. Spray Concure A99 evenly over the freshly laid concrete as soon as possible after final trowelling just after the disappearance of surface bleed water for maximum water retention (approximately 1-2 hours depending on the ambient temperature and atmospheric conditions). If spray equipment is not available, apply with a soft brush, broom or wide nap roller as soon as the concrete surface is hard enough. Apply to vertical surfaces immediately after the formwork has been removed. Apply at an even coverage rate of not greater than 5 m²/litre. Ensure the concrete surface is completely free of stains, oils, form coatings etc., to obtain good adhesion of Concure A99 and to avoid discoloration or uneven surface effects. Cleaning Concure A99 should be removed from tools and equipment with water immediately after use. January 2008
