Applications include: „ Concrete roads „ Bridge works „ Hardstanding areas „ Concrete pavements Advantages „ Rapid film formation time „ Utilises low hazard solvent for safer application „ Economical, ease of application reduces labour cost „ Eliminates the need for damp hessian, sand or polythene „ Enables concrete to hydrate more efficiently „ Increases concrete strength and dusting resistance „ Reduces surface shrinkage and cracking Standards Compliance Concure HR90 conforms to AS 3799-1998: liquid membrane - forming curing compounds for concrete, having a Moisture Retention Efficiency of 91%. Test certificates are available on request. Concure HR90 conforms to R.T.A. specification 3203 - Supply of Curing Compounds for Concrete. Description Concure HR90 is a liquid applied curing compound which consists of a processed blend of petroleum and resin based hydrocarbons. When applied at the recommended application rate Concure HR90 minimises moisture loss in freshly laid concrete thus improving the curing of the concrete. Technical Support Parchem offer a comprehensive range of high performance, high quality repair, maintenance and construction products. In addition, Parchem offer a technical support package to specifiers, end-users and contractors, as well as on-site technical assistance. Design criteria The coating should be applied in a single coat at a coverage rate of 5 m²/litre. To achieve the correct curing properties, Concure HR90 must be applied on to the substrate at the coverage rates recommended. Properties Data quoted typical for this product, but does not constitute a specification. Drying time: 1 - 2 hours on new concrete Colour: Contains red or green fugitive dye Specification Clauses Concrete curing compound All designated areas are to have a liquid curing compound applied to the freshly finished concrete. The curing compound will be based on hydrocarbon resin, comply with AS 3799 and have a weight solids content of not less than 35%. Such a material is Concure HR90 as supplied by Parchem. The curing compound is to be applied in accordance with the manufacturers application instructions. Application Instructions Mix thoroughly prior to use. Concure HR90 should be evenly sprayed over the freshly laid concrete as soon as possible after final trowelling. Ideally Concure HR90 should be applied as soon as the surface bleed water has evaporated. Apply Concure HR90 at a coverage rate of 5 m²/litre. Cleaning Concure HR90 should be removed from tools and equipment with white spirits or Solvent 10. Limitations „ Concure HR90 is generally not compatible with after trades. Any subsequent treatments will require the removal of Concure HR90 using mechanical means. „ Concure HR90 will ‘yellow’ and powder when subject to ultra-violet radiation from sunlight assisting its ease of removal. „ Do not brush onto soft, wet concrete or render surfaces which will be disturbed and thus prevent formation of the curing film. Estimating Supply Concure HR90: 200 litre drum Solvent 10: 4 and 20 litre drum Coverage Concure HR90: 5 m²/litre The coverage figures given are theoretical - due to wastage factors and the variety and nature of possible substrates, practical coverage figures will be reduced.
