Intending users should always consult Parchem if there is any doubt as to whether a proposed application may involve conditions other than ‘ordinary’. Such extraordinary conditions include: ‡ Unusually cold condition during curing (<7°C) ‡ Above ambient temperatures of service (35°C) e.g. floors VXEMHFWWRKRWZDWHU ‡ Severe or unusual chemical attack ‡ Severe or unusual conditions of service beyond the limiting physical and chemical properties of epoxies Care should be taken in selecting colours as some will darken or develop a brown tinge when exposed to sunlight or certain chemicals. This effect is noticeable on white, light coloured and grey systems; on brown, yellow and red epoxies it is less noticeable. Durafloor FC is not recommended for exterior use where it is VXEMHFWWRVXQOLJKWRULQDSSOLFDWLRQVLQYROYLQJSURORQJHG water immersion. Cleaning All tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately after use with Solvent 10. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. Limitations Durafloor FC should not be applied on to surfaces known to suffer from rising damp or having a relative humidity reading greater than 80%. Refer to Parchem for further advice. Durafloor FC should not be applied at temperatures below 7°C. Durafloor FC is also not recommended for use where it is VXEMHFWWRKLJKFRQFHQWUDWLRQVRIFKLFNHQIDWRUKHDW5HIHUWR 3DUFKHPIRUIXUWKHULQIRUPDWLRQRQDSSOLFDWLRQVVXEMHFWWR these conditions. Durafloor FC is not recommended as an application over tiles. Supply 'XUDIORRU)& 4 litre pack plus colour pack Total pack size: 4 litres 'XUDIORRU0HGLXP*ULW 20 kg bag Coverage VWFRDW 4 - 6 m²/litre on concrete QGFRDW 3 - 5 m²/litre : fine grit 2 - 3 m²/litre : medium grit The coverage figures given are theoretical - due to wastage factors and the variety and nature of possible substrates, practical coverage figures will be reduced. Specification Clause Epoxy Floor Coating The designated area shall be surfaced with Durafloor FC, a skid resistant, solvent free, 100% epoxy floor coating. The coating shall be applied in a two coat application to a nominal thickness of 400 microns, strictly in accordance with the manufacturers instructions Shelf Life Durafloor FC has a shelf life of 24 months if kept in a dry place below 35°C in the original, unopened packs. Storage Conditions Store in dry conditions between 10°C and 30°C, away from sources of heat and naked flames in the original, unopened packs. If stored at high temperatures the shelf life may be reduced. Durafloor FC should be protected from frost.
