Used on plywood or particle board flooring it provides an excellent key coat for the application of Emer-Clad. It has excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, timber and particle board flooring panels. Used as the primer coating when applying Emer- Clad or Emer-Impact and wherever a water based, non toxic primer coating is required. Any damage identified during normal inspections should be repaired or replaced as appropriate. Application instructions Surface preparation Before using Emer-Acrylic Sealer, it is important to ensure that the surface to which it is to be applied is clean, dry and free from dust and any loose material. All contaminants such as oil, grease, fungi, stain or any surface laitance must be removed to ensure adequate development of bond when the sealer is applied. Masonry surfaces to be clean, dry and free from any loose particles or laitance. Timber surfaces to be lightly sanded and then dusted down to remove residues, all screws to be counter sunk and “stopped”. Application Emer-Acrylic Sealer may be applied by brush, roller or spray. When applying to concrete or other masonry surfaces it may be thinnned with up to 10% with fresh clean water. For application to plywood or particle board surfaces to be used as supplied. The sealer will be touch dry in approximately 30 minutes and may be overcoated after 2 hours drying under normal conditions. This can be assessed at the time of application and is influenced by ambient temperature and type of surface treated. May be coated with Emer-Clad systems or other water based coatings. Note: do not apply to uncured concrete or while rain threatens, or at temperatures below or that may fall below 10ºC during the drying period. Emer-Acrylic Sealer is not recommended for surfaces subjected to hydrostatic pressure.
